The ONLY homeschool program for middle schoolers in the Dunbar/ Michigan area!

VMLC is available from 9:45 AM–3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, participating homeschoolers work on their accredited coursework, then take part in creative projects, life skills sessions, and enrichment activities that spark curiosity and build real-world skills

We offer a restorative, compassionate approach that helps homeschoolers with behavior challenges reset, rebuild, and re-engage with learning in a healthy way.

Homeschoolers engage in physical activities and hands-on environmental education.

We keep families actively involved through check-ins, open houses, workshops, and volunteer opportunities, ensuring parents stay connected to their child’s homeschooling journey! 

We personalize activities by understanding strengths, challenges, and style, creating a plan that builds confidence, sparks interest, and motivates growth at their own pace.

Students benefit from mentorship provided by learning coaches and opportunities to connect with community partners for additional guidance and growth.

We walk parents through the entire scholarship process step by step, making it simple and stress-free so every family has access to high-quality learning.

Homeschoolers  have access to complete core courses through a nationally accredited curriculum with in-person structure and community to help them succeed.

Field trips to STEM labs, cultural centers, art studios, local businesses, and nature experiences that spark curiosity, build life skills, and inspire future goals.

We teach life and leadership skills—like communication, time management, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship—helping students grow into confident, responsible, and community-minded leaders.

VMLC partners with local organizations, entrepreneurs, and cultural hubs to provide real-world learning experiences, guest speakers, and field trips that expand student perspectives and passions.
